THE BLOOD OF THE SACRIFICE LAMB

LESSON 1

INTRODUCTION

As we begin our studies on the blood of the Lamb, it is like going on a great journey, back to the beginning of the mystery kept secret from the foundation of the world.

V       Matthew 13:35  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. (referring to Jesus)

As we walk through the shadows and types, may they admonish us and draw us closer to the Lamb of God!  Also, that we may have greater understanding of the scriptures as we proceed to walk in the light that created the shadows.

OUR AUTHORITY TO SEARCH THE OLD TESTAMENT

Heb 10:1           "For the law having a shadow of good things to come…"

Lk 24:44           “All things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms concerning Me!”

Lk 24:45           “Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures!”

1 Cor 10:11      “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples; (types) and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”

Jn 5:39             “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:  and they are they which testify of Me.”

Matt 13:52        “(Parable) Therefore every scribe that is instructed unto the kingdom of Heaven is like a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.”

Rev 13:8          “…The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world!”

It is important that the foundations that we stand on as men and women of faith be complete. We must understand that everything in the New Testament has come from the Old Testament.

Bonus:            Can you explain why the Lord spoke these following words?

V       Malachi 3:6  For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
