Rev 13:8 Jesus crucified from the foundation of the world.

Comment Every time a lamb was slain for a sacrifice, it was a shadow of Jesus being slain for the sins of the world.

Rom 16:25,26 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

1 Pet 1:19-20 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

New Testament Reference

Heb 10:5‑7 “…A body hast thou prepared Me... I come to do thy will, O God.”

John 1:14 “And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us!”

1 Pet 3:18-20  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Summary:           As we have seen the shadows of the blood of the Lamb, God’s mystery plan of salvation, revealed from the beginning of the world, we also see that the mercy of the Lord revealed through forgiveness and longsuffering was a shadow of the hope to come through Jesus Christ.

Psalms 85:10  Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
